A Weekend of Art

I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at C3 taking three amazing classes and being up to my elbows in paint and glue and fun.  Our guest teacher was Linda Cain and I can confidently say that a wonderful time was enjoyed by all.  Linda is a talented,  friendly, gifted teacher and our projects were challenging and fun and BEAUTIFUL.  Take a look at my creations:

What a great experience, and what a lovely group of creative souls gathered together in one room.  Thank you Claudia, Linda (C3), and Linda Cain for the best weekend I've had in quite some time.  Tomorrow night I get to have even more fun when I see my art chickies for our monthly get together.  I feel relaxed and renewed and pretty darned blessed to have so many amazing and talented people as friends!

Today was my nephew's confirmation and I spent the day with my family - talking, laughing, and telling real-life ghost stories from the house where we all grew up.  TRUE stories.  I swear someday I will write a book.  We also talked about my father's illness and death back in 1975.  I realized today that I am the family historian. I'm the oldest  and I have an amazing memory so I guess it makes sense, but for some reason it was just so clear to me that most of my sibs look to me as information central.  I don't mind because I like to share memories and I love family history...the good, the bad, and everything in between.  Stories are so important and we all have them.  Our story is our truth, our experience, and ours alone.  Our stories are like a roadmap in our life: they make us who we are and they give a hint into who we're going to be. So...what's your story?  Share a bit of your story with a trusted friend and watch it change your life.  I promise it will.

  1. I had the best time teaching you gifted group of girls! What fun, and I hope to see you all again in the Fall!

    Big Hugs,

  2. family history is a form of education for all
to laugh cry and cherish with love - keep the
stories going and always make an addition to them
