Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

After a bit of mulling and a few twinges of insecurity, I've decided to do it.  Throw caution to the wind, take a leap and hope the net appears, and any other appropriate cliche you'd like to add.   I mean, what do I have to lose?  I adore Graphic 45.  It's my preferred paper when teaching because any piece from any collection gives snoozing creativity an automatic wake up call.  I give students plenty of options in my classes, starting with choosing their own paper for their own project.  I personally love choices but I realize some folks go into 'deer in the headlights' mode. Frozen with fear. Overcome with options. Destined to wander every aisle looking at every piece of paper but unable to choose even one.   Selecting the papers could ultimately take longer than completing the entire project if not for Graphic 45.  I simply take students to the racks of beautiful G45 collections where they are automatically drawn to one or two, and the grabbing begins. How can your project turn out any less than fantastic when you start with Graphic 45?  My personal projects are often inspired by one of their gorgeous collections or color schemes.  My LSS keeps me posted on new arrivals and I race over to purchase the line before it's even unpacked.  I cannot WAIT for Olde Curiosity Shoppe to hit the stores! I admit it.  I am a bit of a paper tramp.  My name is Laure and I'm a paperaholic, and Graphic 45 is my paper of choice.  So yes, I've decided to throw my hat into the ring, and by hat I mean a paper crown adorned with ribbons and glitter. Any positive energy sent my way is greatly appreciated!

Here are the projects I chose to enter as examples of my work:
"OZ BABY"
from The Magic of Oz collection
Yes, the flowers are glass poppies.
"OZ BABY"(above) and "Wedding" (below) are made with wood scraps, G45 papers, and found objects.
"Wedding" with papers from Le' Romantique
My sister's birthday gift, made with a G45
altered art box kit.
Paper Bag Memory Album featuring papers
from An ABC Primer.
Love the school theme!
Pages and flaps and pockets, oh my!
ABC's and 1-2-3's
Mixed media collage on a salvaged vanity door.
"Very Vintage" paper bag album featuring papers from Curtain Call, another favorite collection.
"Tis the Season" paper bag album with papers from Christmas Emporium.
beautiful papers make beautiful projects
pages from one of my many altered journals
A different spin on altered art blocks.

Here's the link to the G45 design team call for anyone who might be interested.  The 30 finalists will be announced on March 2, 2012.  I'll keep you posted and as always, thanks for reading. Your support and encouragement mean more than I can ever say.  Have a creative day!
