Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves
to recognize how good things really are.
It's been one year since I decided to finally give this blog thing a try. I've learned a lot and still have a lot to learn, but the constant has been the enjoyment I receive from writing. Even when the subject matter is less than uplifting, the PROCESS of writing is so cathartic. Add to that the comments from readers (OMG, I have readers) and it's the perfect marriage of self-expression with the chance to touch another human being. Through words. Through art. Through laughter and especially, through tears. Confession: I'm a bad blogger. Really. I don't have any lofty blogging goals. I post sporadically. I'm all over the boards. I've never offered a giveaway or done a tutorial. I don't have a ton of followers so I'm never sure if I'm boring people or just undiscovered and talking to myself. But I've been working on this for one year now, and that's worth remembering. I'm not sure what the next blogging year will bring (see BAD BLOGGER, above) but I hope you'll stick around to find out. Thanks to all you lovely people for reading about the chaos and art (AKA blessings)in my life.
