Flying Blind in Blogville

After much nagging encouragement and procrastinating consideration I've decided to FINALLY start a blog.  I know, welcome to 2010.  I've created things my whole life; a blog couldn't be that difficult, right?  So...my first post.  Do I discuss heavy topics, offer witty banter, or post a photo and call it a day?  Do I have anything interesting to offer?  Is anyone actually reading this?  You ARE?  Well, THANK YOU.  I plan to share my art, passion, humor, and whatever else happens to be on my mind.  This could be scary since my mind is a lot like a Cirque show.  If you don't get the reference, just picture a pinball machine with that little metal ball bouncing around everywhere, lighting lights, making noise, barreling down fourteen different ramps in two seconds. Oh look, a kitty!  Anyways, it will take time to learn the tricks of the blogging game but I've come this far so I figure it will only improve.  I'll leave you with a photo of an altered art block I made for a friend; the words are from Dr. Seuss and it's my life's mission statement.  Ah, the irony.  Enjoy!
I gotta be ME.

  2. All of a sudden I feel self-conscious, being your first-ever blog commenter ... but CONGRATULATIONS! For many, many reasons, I have no intention or wish to start a blog, but I salute those who do, and whose everyday musings on the creative process provide me with much inspiration and encouragement, in many unexpected areas of my life.

I have found your blog through the ROD yahoo digest, and came after viewing the gasp-inducing pictures of your tall blessings journal. I am an ROD newbie and have not yet made my first journal, and I am now feeling somewhat overwhelmed by the brilliance of what others are producing. I have so many questions about your project, but won't ask them here.

Your contribution makes a difference. Thanks!
